About Me

Mandy is currently Director, Brand Channel Management at Big Fuel Communications, LLC. She leads the team that runs the social media channels of clients including Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Gatorade, T-Mobile and Samsung.

Prior to Big Fuel, Mandy worked for herself as a digital media and content consultant. Under her business Six Months Off, LLC, she strategized with clients including American Express Publishing, the Canadian Tourism Commission, the International Newsmedia Marketing Association, Ladies Who Launch, Maletzky Media (multiple clients), RentalEngine.com and Wanderfly. Her projects included business development, social media content creation, channel planning, copy writing and media buying. During this time she was also a coach and mentor to more than 50 women looking for guidance on starting their own businesses.

Prior to venturing out on her own, Mandy spent seven years at internet media company Travelzoo (NASDAQ: TZOO). Within 18 months of starting, she was tapped to move to Toronto to launch the company’s Canadian business. In her four years as General Manager, Travelzoo (Canada) Inc., she built the division to one million email subscribers, nine employees and $4m in annual revenue.

Upon returning Stateside, Mandy continued at Travelzoo working on special projects including redefining the strategy for North America brand marketing as well as the company’s content syndication network. Within 12 months she took the network product from quarterly declining revenue to 12% YoY growth.

Mandy has also held positions in public relations on both the agency and client side.
